TeachPhysio courses are designed for healthcare professionals to bring Integrative medicine tools to their clinical practice. These workshops are curated for healthcare organizations to help them create an Integrative Medicine team.
As the evidence supporting mindfulness-based interventions continues to grow, the hands-on practice of Acupressure can be incorporated into rehabilitation practices and interventions giving our patients the tools and self-care regimens to lead healthier pain free lives.
While one of the first things we can teach a patient is to breathe calmly, the addition of pressing potent Acupressure points allows the patient to add that "pause" to the flow of their environment and to ground and center themselves. They can now tap into their peripheral nervous system which connects to the central viscera and helps them with self-regulation to feel calm and relaxed. This "shift" in the state of their mind can dramatically influence and improve the state of their present physical experience.
This hands-on workshop will introduce healthcare professionals to the evidence-based practice of using specific potent Acupressure points for improving pain, anxiety, heart rate variability, nausea and chronic fatigue for optimal balancing of physiologic and psychologic functions. Healthcare professionals will be able to apply these techniques for their patients in any practice setting effectively.
